I was blessed to have known Andrea and I was able to spend time with her and her family a couple of times when visiting Fort Lauderdale area in Florida where she lived. She was a dear friend and we corresponded on occasion over the years. My thoughts are with her husband John, and son Kim and of course DB. I had known about her battle with cancer since the time of diagnosis, but she seemed to be doing very well with treatment. This terrible news therefore came as a complete shock. Although we're getting better in our progress against various forms of cancer, we still have a ways to go, and it seems to respect nobody. This week I had another old friend pass from cancer as well. Not a good week at all. Rest in Peace Andrea, I will miss you.
