Because we chose to get rid of satellite tv and go with the Roku and cheaper streaming methods, I've been watching a lot of programs from outside the US. Now, I know things are greener in other pastures, but these shows seem to shine a light on the vapidness and shallowness of American society and culture. The thought of living in a culture where things like quality of life is stressed versus that of America's drive toward quantity.
