Anyone else seen the movie Lovely, Still? It stars Martin Landau and Ellen Burstyn and is a really good, but emotionally powerful movie. Often times I grow weary of movies that always seem to think violence and sex are needed to tell a story. Saw this gem from 2008 last night. Saw Our Souls At Night, too. I read the book and the movie adaptation is mostly pretty good. I've always thought the author should have had the book based in the '60s because in current times I don't think many would care if a widow and widower from different marriages started spending time together (there is a segment where when the two go to a restaurant everyone stares and quits talking - kind of unrealistic I thought).
