Lately, in the search for good movies to watch I have really noticed how so many out there so willingly abuse the concept of "independent film." It really pisses me off how studios and others portray movies that are not "independent" as "independent." It's sort of like they use the label "independent" as a goddamned symbol of honor or status symbol.There are some really good films out there that are "independent" and for some fucking Hollywood type to come along and label some studio bullshit picture as "independent" really pisses me off. It's like how "pop stars" label themselves as "rock and rollers." Fucking Madonna is not a "rock and roller."Which leads me to Janet Jackson and her comment that more women should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yes, more authentic "rock and roll" women should be in the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" but Janet Jackson should not be, nor should be she be given a forum to complain. Rant over....
