Just watched this movie on Netflix.  It is an ass-kicker.  The opening part is so poignant and tough to watch if a person is familiar with Sharon Jones.  To see this explosive, larger than life woman knocked down during her battle with cancer is something to watch.  Watching the film it's clear Sharon Jones really allowed access to her first battle with cancer and allows the viewer to see all sides of her personlity, including anger.

Even though it's known what eventually happens to Sharon Jones, the film still ends on an uplifting note.
