All along, my wife and I thought we'd cast our votes for Joe Biden. And perhaps we were wrong to go for Mayor Pete, perhaps the socially conservative black and hispanic communities within the Democratic party won't come out for a man who came out. But Joe just doesn't seem to have the fire in the belly. Sure, at times, he's shown some of that old piss and vinegar tenacity, but we're rolling the dice that Pete might be the one. Again, we've been so wrong before, and we're just two often dispirited voices here in the Granite State. And we realize that we so don't deserve this first in the nation primary. Why should a state that doesn't "look" like the nation get to provide such momentum to a candidate? On the upside, the endless phone calls, knocks on the door, and deliveries of mounds of campaign literature will cease. Good luck with all that Nevada and South Carolina!
