Yes, my doctor's office had a protocol in place at the time I called. They asked you a series of questions over the phone to gauge if you were a potential Covid case. If you did not have a fever (this seemed the first thing that you needed to qualify) and meet the level of severity they had set they did not want you to come in. This obviously served the purpose of they did not want everybody with a sniffle rushing into the office and preserved whatever Covid testing they had, which was very limited at the time, for those most in need. 

My doctor prescribed nothing, just said we could take over the counter cold/flu meds but did say that because we were sick that required us to go through a 14 day quarantine and obviously to call back if our symptoms changed.
