My mother gave me a book by Darrell Hammond with the idea that it would help me with my own issues I guess.
I just watched the documentary Once Were Brothers about Robbie Robertson and his time in The Band. It was excellent if rather sad due to the tragic way The Band fell apart. I've always been a huge fan of The Band, never obviously saw them with Robbie in person, but I saw them in their post Robbie incarnation many times and went to shows at Levon's house to see him perform with his band. My brother and I had tickets to see what would have been the last show Levon would have performed with Los Lobos as the opening act...the show was cancelled at the last minute and Levon never performed again.
