Buford T. Pusser (view)

"Buford" was nothing more than a gag to let us all have a good hearty laugh.  Your friend "Reg" caught me out when I mistakenly used the wrong alias to post as "Buford" - so now the gig is up I'm afraid.

I don't mean any offense to anyone here.  I was just having fun.  I took heart to the fact that DB (whom I deeply admire) had a good belly laugh at one of my original postings.  Even today, someone had tears in their eyes from laughing over one of my posts, or so it seemed.

I'd like to point out that Andy Kaufman created a character called "Tony Clifton" who was sort of a comedy terrorist.  That was the inspiration for "Buford."  Everyone loves a villain.  Someone who is a big loud-mouth who is hated by everyone.  Andy wanted his character to be physically ejected from the set, which actually happened at Paramount by the way.

So, this is good-bye.  My apologies to everyone.  It was fun.  I hope each and everyone of you admires David's music as much as I do.

Peace,

"Buford"
