that we now know that this country is so polarized that what used to take out a candidate years ago, will not do so today.
I look back at all the "scandals" that use to end a politicians career and how none of them would now end the career of a politician if that politician did not leave (they may be beaten in the next election, but these people will now know that their most ardent supporters will stick with them no matter what).
I mean, just look at the last few days at the things that have landed at Trump's feet. A bipartisan Senate committee declares there was Russian influence on our election, Trump praising Q-Anon, the Post Office scandals, on and on and on. Things that would have ended careers early are barely talked about more than one day.
