Do they even really matter in this presidential race? 

I mean, look at all the things Trump has said and done and nothing has dented his true followers.  Not one iota.  In fact, the support of his followers has seemed to have even grown and even become more entrenched. 

I think this era in American politics will be studied for a long, long time. 

So I don't know if these endorsements matter much at all and tend to believe certain actions will be the things that matter.  For example, if Mitt Romney would come out and say after Trump's statement of not following the results of the election, he is changing his mind and will not vote for a Supreme Ct nominee until after the next president is selected.
