aren't we talking more about 'political' and therefore 'power' news...i was thinking about that the other day as my other half was saying about how much coverage there was about the death of the greatest footballer (they actually use their feet with the ball unlike gridiron) ever known Diego Armando Maradona.  i said in the past it would be a one minute slot at the end of a programme to her but he was front page and back page at the same time which said everything about the quantity of information. that news which is basically just a fact or information is easily digested. as opposed to the face mask stuff which because there is amongst other things copious amounts of money involved like everything money orientated becomes political and therefore subject to bias. you're on to something EEE. it won't end well though for you if you become disillusioned like me. heathcliffe will be along with a sensible antidote for you soon.
