It's been an exhausting 4 years. What a relief to be done with the noise of Trump and his sycophants in the media. I listened to both press briefings by Biden's press secretary, Jen Psaki. It seems odd listening to someone not demeaning the press but rather, just answering their questions—intelligently. 

I would like to think the nation has seen enough the past 4 years, or just the past few weeks alone, to want to move forward but I don't see how that happens, not with conservative media still out there presenting an alternate dimension for people to reside in. 

I'm reminded of the help you all offered me 15 years ago when I was stuck in the rut of conservativism. I'm quite sure I'd have found my way out of the party on my own eventually, but still, I appreciate those of you who handed me my ass in our debates because I was only working with weak conservative talking points or those of you who simply came alongside me and offered another perspective to consider. Your words weren't lost on me. I'm probably more patient with others to this day because I'm reminded that I was once in their shoes and so there is hope; or is there? It seems anyone still in the Republican party is likely in need of more help than I'm able to offer them.
