Mick, I think we've all resigned ourselves to the understanding that guns are here to stay. An elementary school gets shot up but nothing changes. We can't even discuss the situation because we're told it's too soon after the massacre to talk about it. Thoughts and prayers will have to suffice. By the time enough weeks or months have passed, another shooting happens and the process starts anew again. I'm not sure how we ever get to the point of banning guns as long as we can't even discuss small steps toward gun control. One of the only good things to come out of the pandemic is a reduction of school shootings.
