I had a difficult time securing an appointment in the Minneapolis area. I was finally able to obtain an appointment in outstate Minnesota - a 4 hour drive to Bemidji. It was a full day but the appointment itself was a breeze; in and out in 20 minutes. I've got an appointment for my 2nd Moderna dose in a month at a place 10 minutes from home. It was worth the drive 475 mile roundtrip drive for me to get the first dose because I would otherwise still likely be at my computer trying to find an appointment.
