Guys like him and Jordon were fighting over space up Trump's massive ass and so if your were an elected Republican you could not tell the truth about these guys because you would then face the wrath of the president who would try to turn "his voters" on you. So, they really felt they could not say anything about Gaetz even though many did not like him and knew he was a fool. He was Trump's fool.

There is no more "holy roller" influence on the Republican party members now. They don't give a flying shit about that. You can bugger children all you want, bang hookers, rip off the elderly, piss on the poor, throw all the bodies in the wood chipper. God, country, morals, family values...they stopped standing for any of that some time ago. Now it is just about greed, get yours while you can, fuck everybody else, and you stand for that because if you see a fellow Republican getting away with it you also should be able to get away with it. 

They push their voters toward these values by winding them up about people coming for whatever they have...they will take your guns, your money, your Dr. Seuss stories, so better grab everything you can while you are still armed. 

Gaetz was useful for this because you need idiots willing to go on FOX or any of the other Right Wing nut job channels and spew absolute nonsensical bullshit and lies. A lot of these guys don't want to get their hands dirty doing that but Gaetz and Jordan and Johnson and Graham would among others. So, useful idiots for the cause. I mean it is embarrassing to go on TV and say stupid shit that is so obviously false you sound like you just wandered out of some horror show mental ward. 

So, when you find clowns willing to do this you have to put them to work.

Here's what I find most unbelievable about this...if Gaetz ran again in Florida the voters there would reelect him. The voters in Ohio will vote for Jordan again. It does not matter how much they are exposed as frauds and scumbags...they would still easily end up with 50% of the votes.

Why? How many times can you fool people with the same stupid shit? There seems to be no learning curve.
