Icon Everything you wanted to know about Baerwald...

I just listened to the entire conversation and I must have put in 2-3 miles of walking during it.

I'm sure there's a lot we don't know about DB but wow, what a deep dive into his past.

Where to start? I can't imagine the interviewer expected what would unfold. David just took over and boy did he cover a ton of ground. He began with family history, and that was fascinating. And then there was his trauma in Japan, and trying to adjust to life back in the USA, problems with his father, living in semi-squalor with skinheads, a better left unsaid issue with organized crime, the chaos that accompanied his brief period of rock stardom, a failed attempt at collaborating with Sean Penn, a beating he took 20 years ago that added more trauma, lots of therapy, unexpected yet very successful fatherhood, and of course politics. The conversation went in so many directions. Diehard Baerwald fans will learn a lot.

And what's the deal with that massive binder that contains three year's of his writing? David is a survivor, and here's hoping he's in a creative and safe place.
