Well, I don't know what the current state of rock 'n' roll is but the spirit of it has gone out. It used to be about rebellion, freedom, anarchy, subversion and now...well...it is about TV shows, conformity, and for the generation that made the genre what it is...selling your catalog for enough money to purchase your own country.

I'm not sure Neil Young would care what they used his songs to sell now as long as he has been well paid to turn them over to whomever buys them.

I love all of that music and still turn it up when it comes through a set of speakers but where is the rebellion and spirit?

The idea of rock 'n' roll is dead but you can judge other people singing on a TV show.

We do have auto tune though. So, there is that.
