I agree wholeheartedly Mick. Pop culture is no longer universal - when once a radio station would play a reggae track followed by a hair metal track followed by Sting - that no longer happens. There's the homogenized fluff that passes for mainstream that is usually indistinguishable from itself - that's pop culture now. Everything else that's exciting or new or different is pigeon holed and doesn't get any air. Rock and roll isn't dead - it's just only 25 views a week on youtube...
