Over the years, my movie tastes have changed.  Growing up, I used to love to search for movies and films that pushed the envelope and oftentimes, dark flicks. 

Nowadays, I really enjoy films more about real life and real people in real-life experiences. 

I highly recommend Swan Song with Udo Kier (the "other" Swan Song).  Udo Kier plays a retired, flamboyant, and non-apologetic gay hairdresser living out the rest of his life in a nursing home.  A slimy attorney then appears to try and get Kier to do one last hairdressing job on a recently deceased socialite.  The story then goes from there (there is one scene in the nursing home that is so wonderfully touching it should thaw the coldest of hearts).
