The reason I posted that was because both of those guys were really good politcal minds (of that time) from both sides and they helped me develop my own thinking in that regard. As I said I am fairly close to center politically. And I think that is largely because I listen to both sides and try to sift through what (as I call) signal to noise.

It could be debated how Buckley would have thought about Trump or even Biden but he isn't here anymore and besides it was a different time. We are the ones that should be the caretakers and leaders now and and I think it is possible to do that without pop off knee jerk reactions (that are patently false) that even got this thread started by Kevin G
