Icon Re: Comedic Revival - Something I'm Surprised Is Not Happening - Yet?

Comedy clubs are still really big.  Comedians like Bill Burr and others have made pretty big recent careers for themselves while occasionally being a bit edge (rarely "mean.")  The cancel culture thing is a little bigger in the world of college campuses than out in the comedy club world.  The huge success of Dave Chappelle's last special shows you that there is a current and existing appetite and money going toward comedy that isn't strictly "woke."

Only my opinion, but I think we may already be seeing the woke movement having peaked and cancel culture starting to fade.  Rather obvious common sense responses such as not overtly teaching really young children about human sexuality (of either kind) and the vast agreement on that point among both liberals and conservatives ought to illustrate this.  Hard for me to imagine most parents feeling differently.
