Clearly you've never attempted to buy a weapon in a legitimate gun shop, anywhere in America, because an FBI background check will be required.
Have you been using the criminal blackmarket Dan? If yes, it will exist after the law abiding have been disarmed. So why take weapons away from the law abiding who successfully intercede in behalf of law enforcement and other law abiding people, often without firing a round, at a minimum of a million times per year? Of course those statistics and happy ending stories rarely get the wall to wall media coverage.
