Well, the Democrats have to figure out how they want to handle 2024 but I would say they obviously want to see what 2022 brings first...and from what I can see it does not look good for them. More people are registering Republican than Democrat by a wide margin. I honestly do not know why as the Republicans have overseen and pushed a terrible turn for democracy in this country and thanks to Trump exposed themselves as a rather horrid criminal enterprise.

Somehow, voters right now seem to prefer criminality to a Democrat that might be somewhat annoying. Very strange but in this time of social media it seems like it is a greater offense to be annoying than committing a crime.

I certainly can't explain it except to say that I guess the key is people understand annoying but do not always understand what is criminal. So, they base their opinions and choices on what they understand.

Biden is old school and remembers when Democrats and Republicans would compromise and cut deals and way back when it would not be a big deal to let McConnell pick a federal judge in his home state of Kentucky. 

Now, it is considered a major flaw in Biden's thinking. 

At present Biden's not all that loved anyway. I think he is OK but he is likely going to be a weak candidate in 2024. So, get ready, E, it is really looking like Ron DeSantis is going to be the next president of the Not United States and he and the Republicans are going to cram an awful lot of vile shit down our throats. 

Easy to see that is the wrong way to go but the Republican way of communicating with voters is far more effective than the way the Democrats do it. Republicans lie, spew any nonsense they think their base wants to hear, and try to keep the populace angry and afraid. 

People want to blame all their issues on someone else and so the Republicans do all they an to help enable that. It works, doesn't matter if it is lies. 

I think Biden has no reason to trust McConnell and I question why he would think McConnell will let him appoint judges if he gives Mitch this Kentucky judge. In the past I would not find it a huge deal but you are likely right that Biden will get slaughtered for it...because that is where we are now.
