Many tidings to share, and first and foremost, thanks to Dan for making this all possible. I know I haven't contributed much lately, but I still pop my head into this virtual Cheers bar to keep abreast of all the goings-on. I will make an effort to chime in more frequently, just not in a sharing mood much.
And a big, hearty "way to go" Kathryn and John, and of course Alyssa and her partner, on the arrival of Ruben James! Will Paul Kelly fandom reach this lad? Surely his grandmother will provide a proper soundtrack for his formative years!
Great to see so many alums trudge back, a little heavier, and grayer, but surely wiser than ever. And Cass, so lovely to hear that you remain connected to DB. Would love to hear any news on his novel.
I continue to shake my head at the dangerous antics in Trumpistan. His cult is thoroughly entrenched, immune to facts, unwilling to admit they've been so thoroughly played by the former grifter-in-chief. I wonder if Pat and Marc's egos are too fragile to withstand reexamination of their affiliation in the cult. I've come to realize that I am thrilled to admit that I've been wrong on some consequential topics. Really, I can take the hit, and we all should be. And I continue to listen to wise commentators from both ends of the political spectrum.
Oh, and it's been a wild summer as our daughter got married in Boston! It was spectacular as we danced to Into The Mystic and my three lessons at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio saved me from knocking Ally to the floor. Our wallet is considerably lighter but it thoroughly worth it. My wife and I then hit San Francisco for the first time and it exceeded our high expectations. It's so important to combat inertia and get off the couch while you are able to.
Looking forward to mixing it up in the future and again, Dan, thanks for creating and maintaining this little piece of the internet where all these delightful humans can bounce off each other.
Peter T.
