I'm somewhat surprised that no one has made reference to Baerwald's tweeting under Project Blue Dot last week.

I think this is David here: This has been a wild ride, and it just keeps on getting wilder. Very, very excited about the people who have made this possible, all the way around.

There's a message from Publishers Marketplace Deal Report, dated October 5th that says:

Musician, composer, and singer-songwriter David Baerwald's The Fire Agent, an epic love story and sweeping saga of global espionage, world wars, and the emergence of fascism in Japan, German, and the United States, inspired by the lives of the author's own grandfather and father, about a Japan-based, Germany Jewish director of the IG Farben chemical company who spied for the United States and a U.S. Army intelligence officer in Tokyo during the post-WWII American occupation...

There are references to someone having the Translation rights, and someone, who appears to be with CAA, Creative Artists Agency I think, handling film/tv.

I'm sure we'll learn more, but it sounds like a possible first book for the DBIS book club.
