Years ago when my Dad was still alive he didn't get my fondness for Neil Young until he saw him onstage with Pearl Jam and rocking away.  After that, he would state his admiration for an older rocker rocking hard than a bunch of youngsters. 

I don't know about anyone else of age when it comes to the elder statespeople of rock, but my view is - whether I like particular ones or not, I'm just glad to see all these masters still producing and hope they keep going as long as the desire.
