Noticed the mid-line rhyming scheme, which is really pretty interesting and unusual.  I like that.  Theme seems to be "don't let your ego or material success fool you into thinking you can't get a comeuppance."  I hope it's not saying anyone achieving things is due a comeuppance as those are not necessarily the same scenario.  Of course, none of that negates the fact that people often do step on each other for material success around the world and daily.
