Well, the question you asked, after making your predictions, was "Who do they fear?" and honestly, I was not sure who the they was. Sure, I could guess that you were the Democrats, but that did not make much sense because I don't think the Democrats fear Trump and Ron has not announced he is running yet, so they certainly don't fear him.
The problem is that it is hard to understand what you mean, Pat, or what point you are trying to make.
A lot of people on the right claim the "Democrats are trying to prosecute Trump because they fear him!"
That's a lot of bunk if you are paying attention. Trump is great for the Democrats because he is the Republican Hillary. He's so explosively divisive to the public that he does nothing but lose elections for them. He only won the presidency because the Democrats were nutty enough to run Hillary. She was the one person he could beat...in all other cases, Trump was/is a loser and turned people away from voting for Republicans.
So, in answer to your question, and everyone, I guess including you, seemed to agree that if anybody fears anybody, it is the Republicans fear Trump...because he is so horrible for them.
Why would the Democrats fear DeSantis? Essentially, Trump is going to do the dirty work on Ron. The Democrats get to just sit back and eat their popcorn while Trump bats him around like a hungry tiger against a bunny. Trump has already been beating Ron like a red headed stepchild and Ron has not even announced he is running yet. When he does, Donny will wrap him in dynamite and take a blow torch to him. It's gonna be ugly, Pat. You ain't seen nothing yet.
The other people that likely run against Trump for the Republican nomination...they have no chance. Nikki Haley got chased into an elevator at CPAC by Trump's lunatic fringe. Mike Pompeo? Nobody like him except him. Trump will wipe the floor with him.
If you are asking who are "they" afraid of? Well, the only "they" that makes sense is the Republicans and Trump is the guy they are afraid of.
So, are you saying the Democrats are afraid of DeSantis, so in order to have to face DeSantis they are trying to get Trump prosecuted so they have to face DeSantis? That makes no sense, Pat.
Or are you saying that the Republicans are behind the prosecution of Trump so they can get rid of him and the Democrats would then have to face DeSantis?
