I've not used Spotify but I guess I should try it. Generally these days if I find some new music it is pure luck. I just go out in the world and see what falls into my lap. I do listen to satellite radio in the car.
Here's the Rick Beato video on the top ten on Spotify I watched recently:
Nothing there I would have heard on my own. I've not read any music magazines in probably a couple of decades but I do recall when I read Rolling Stone in the 1980s looking through the Top 10 and Top 100 and Top College Radio lists, just to see what was on them.
