Bowie, he is missed in such a huge way. Yeah, I mean, I do not doubt that the talent is out there. What I wonder about is, is the same attitude and approach out there. Bowie approached making rock and pop music as avant-garde art. I don't think AI spits out Bowie, or Lou Reed, or Lowell George, or Ray Charles, or really so many of the people that made music in previous decades. I think Wilco and Radiohead are bands that make music that still sounds like it was made by human beings but, again, those guys are the same age as I am...so over 50. Which in rock music now is pretty meaningless. 80 seems like the new 50. Going to see 70 plus rock and pop musicians seems more common than going to see 20 something rock musicians now.
Those songs in the Beato video do just seem like loops with some singing over them and the singing is questionable. I'm sure those could be done with AI or kind of were. The singing seems like short looped parts as well.
