So we have a solid group that believes all of Trump's troubles are being done because Democrats do not want Trump to run for President.  We Democrats know that is a lot of fantasy bullshit because Trump will not win the general election and he would be best all around for Democrats (I imagine many Republicans will just sit out the 2024 election just not to vote for Trump; then there are the never-Trump Republicans and decent Republicans that won't vote for him as well and this doesn't even include the new voters).

At the same time, the MAGA crowd is so resolute in their following of Trump that other Republicans are too afraid to take on Trump in any way that will piss off the MAGA crowd and are so afraid of doing that, that they are going to walk Trump right into the nomination to an election he can't win.  And watch, about the only way the other running Republicans will take on Trump is by suggesting that Trump just can't win - I predict that will be their most prevailing common argument to their base as to why Trump should not win the primaries - I think they will continue not to use their most powerful arguments against him because that will anger their base. 

In other words, because Republicans have been too afraid to clean the house of Trump they have dealt their own hand by allowing the MAGA crowd to become too powerful.  

It would not surprise me one bit if Trump does not participate in any Primary debates, knowing that he actually does not have anything to gain by doing them and everything to lose (I could be wrong and that his neurotic narcissism and ego will make it impossible not to do them).
