Re: Cover bands...What is your preference?
Now, when it comes to cover bands or covers of established songs, I've always thought that the person/group doing covers should do one of two things:
The first is, to make that cover uniquely their own, or second, make it a very close copy to the original artist, but it has to be spot on.
Those two variables are where I think covers/cover bands must end up when covering another artist's rendition.
That is what I've thought, anyway.
