In reading the news and political pundit sites, I think the way Republicans are going to deal with Trump is slowly being marched out and slowly gaining speed and that is more and more Republicans are pointing out that Republicans simply can't win with Trump at the top of the ticket.
Over the last couple of weeks, this has been happening more and more and even by some that were once pure-Trumpers, such as a few influential evangelicals.
What is interesting to me is how the methods to do this may vary and I think one way to placate the diehard MAGA nuts is to express that Trump can't win in a way that does not blame Trump, but instead pushes a message that there are just too many out there that are afraid of him running and they are conspiring to deal with him because of that fear. To illustrate, this is why certain people keep pushing a false narrative that these people are ganging up on him because of the fear he can win to build a state of false consciousness in the minds of the MAGA crowd so they will be willing to vote for an alternative Trump.
And in pushing such an argument, mainstream Republicans may be able to dilute the ire of the MAGA crowd.
Just a feeling I'm getting.
