Icon FauxNews' continued damage to the US

Something struck me the other day that I feel needs more attention and that is the further damage that FauxNews continues to do to America and its citizens (the reason I call FoxNews Faux is because it really is not a "news" channel at all - if anything, it is an opinion based channel.  To illustrate, in almost every study conducted by scholarly media institutions, when it comes to facts, FauxNews is always at the bottom when it comes to accuracy - now, don't mix up a fact-based broadcast versus that of an opinion-based broadcast.  A fact-based broadcast is what it suggests - a factual broadcast based on verifiable facts or items that can be described as facts and that is what those studies are about - a news outlet and its accuracy when it comes to reporting facts).

So this post is mostly about fact-based reporting and how Faux fails and fails in a very important way. Over the last year or so, I have noticed that Faux has purposely left out several big news stories on the days that they broke when those stories were highly negative stories for either Trump or the Right Wing.  So while this reporting was a factual issue, it is an issue of omission.  I believe one story was that of Trump's first indictment (I haven't kept track of these as much as I should have).  There have been several others and my point is, Faux continues to fail to report other news-breaking stories, and to me, the reason this is important is because the partisan channel is clearly not providing information to its viewers that would inform them.  So Faux continues to misinform simply by not informing which leaves us with a large group of Americans who aren't even getting facts from a supposed news organization and that lack of knowledge aids in the persistence of Trump being crafted as a martyr and unduly attacked victim.

Now, do I think that these MAGA people would even believe true facts?  Not really, but still, not reporting these facts is still not good.  And this doesn't even touch on Faux's habit of using more loaded words in both its "news" and opinion reporting.

On a side note, that is one reason why I can't even begin to watch that channel - it's because their editors and writers overwhelmingly use more purposeful loaded words than any other network and I'm sure that practice of it sends sincere linguists right out of their minds.

At the end of the day, I truly believe that Rupert Murdoch is an enemy of this country and he and his cronies are greatly responsible for the damage done and being done to this country and that he needs to be deported - to hell if it will take him.
