Just loved this line of yours....

"We need to get over this cowardice, accept our death, and realize that our time is brief, and it's up to us to create our own meaning in a universe that itself has none."

And I completely agree with its meaning.  One odd thing about is just the other day I mentioned a similar thing about how death is common but we ignore it and society would be so much better off if it focused more on humans having a more intimate experience with death (I hope that last part is not taken the wrong way - my point is, in American society, the efforts made to sanitize the meaning of death are immense).

To me, one aspect of creating a more intimate relationship is to focus just on what Peter T. highlighted  - that we are not here long.

Think I better stop here....kind of a bit stoned....
