that's so insightful David - thank you. I think over here we have more choice. it's not so binary. I think the democrat versus republican choice is so narrow. Whilst Biden has lost ground and I would never lean towards right wing trumpist bollocks I assumed there was another choice. There isn't. That is in itself a toxic design.
I think if Israel went slower into this and brought a lot more people along we could stay focused on just eliminating Hamas. But there is also a language being used by the likes of Regev which is presenting the suffering as something Israelis are indifferent to. He and Netanyahu appear to me as very dangerous.
They won't destroy Hamas. They haven't destroyed Isis. They're just breeding a new generation of terrorists. This shit is never going away. I can't see any good outcome here, not even for Israelis. Maybe a little peace for a while. This is truly catastrophic for the future of which he will be excluded because he'll be dead by then as this shit will outlive him. Right now the world seems afraid of him the way it was of others historically. that cannot be good for anyone, apart from extremists.
