Music Connection mag. Up until around 5 yrs ago I had two tightly packed boxes, dating back to the late '70s; all of the '80s; into '90s. Good condition. Once in a while I'd break 'em out and page through, see who was right (left) and who was wrong (right) or centered on the pulse.
Articles, gear/tech, trade stuff/info, pics & pans, local gig listings. Stories. Two boxes of uh ..history; burned. Accidentally. Burned hot! So be it. Out with the old, in with ..well, hell, in with ..growing old (sans the beloved cuddly stuff) with relative grace.
I don't know how well MC stacked up with other LA mags/trades of the time but to a guy in the midwest it felt ..uh ..like a connective tissue to a childhood fantasy. Now I can walk or ride Sunset Blvd. anytime I feel like taking a drive ..but, like everything today, it's far from the Main St. of those mags.
