my man I don't think anywhere is immune anymore but god if anywhere is likely to escape the worst it will be there. We've had conflict for a long time and people know what that is like very well albeit on a smaller scale than what is possibly coming your way...
I don't mean this to be a criticism of Israel or America, but this shit should and could have done this so differently. Israel has a right to defend itself and want peace and take support from wherever.
America isn't that big a player any more. The Middle East is now bustling with players wanting to flex a bit and take each other on and whoever is Prez in America isn't going to make much difference at a certain point anymore.
