Two questions:

1. What subject predominates in David's songs? I'd say it is being alone. And when I say "alone" it could be related to a relationship or it could be in the sense that he feels he sees life in a different fashion from the majority of people. I honestly haven't been devoting a lot of time to this exercise (that would be a bit pathetic) but in my head I was going over all of my favorite tunes and the word "alone" just jumped out.

2. Has there ever been another band (besides David & David) that met with commerical success on their inital album and failed to put out a follow-up? The only one that comes to mind is Thunderclap Newman (they had the song "Something in the Air" which Tom Petty re-made). And Blind Faith really shouldn't count! Anyone want to chime in?
