I'm sure others feel the same way, but I feel privileged to read such an interaction with a person many of us have followed since the 80s.  Not only that but with someone who shares such personal tales in entertaining and illuminating ways and with someone not afraid to bare one's teeth.

When I read that other board's postings, I thought, "You people have no idea what this guy Dan created about a person we all admire.  And for more than thirty years!"

And like Mick pointed out - it was fascinating learning about how talented people both blend and don't blend. 

The only sad thing I find is how many used to frequent this board and no longer do.  And to me, what is even sadder than that is those that who don't frequent anymore have no idea of how much you have been participating this past year.   They really are missing out and Kudos to Dan for reaching out to them.  

So, no, Mr. Baerwald, you have not ruined a good thing -  you have enhanced it.
