I think there is supposed to be friction between creative people. I don't think there has to be but it may add quite a bit to what comes out of the process.

You've probably heard the story of the time Mick and Keith and a group of people were having a party in a hotel and Charlie Watts was not there. He had gone off to bed. So, Mick, being Mick, keeps calling Charlie's room and saying "Where's my drummer?" and hanging up. So, this goes on for a couple hours I guess and then there is a knock at the door. They open the door and there is Charlie, freshly shaved, showered, hair combed, wearing a beautiful three piece suit. He walks into the room, goes right up to Jagger, who is smirking at him, and punches him in the face. Jagger goes down. Charlie looks down at him and says "Never fucking call me your drummer." turns and walks out of the room and goes back to bed.

I imagine Keith enjoyed that.

You guys obviously had some very different hobbies.
