I recall 15-20 years ago, David, that you expressed appreciation for this motley assemblage of fans when you stated you wouldn't trade us for all those hordes of screaming Britney Spears fans. Not your exact words but certainly the spirit of your sentiments. And you surely know that a special bond is felt, especially by the hearty souls who have remained here. We've lost some truly special friends, and witnessed a lot these last few decades and this forum has been a place to share, discover, disagree, and grow. Let's face it, we aren't the same people who we were when Dan founded this site.
Really, your music got us here but our continued presence is due to many things: the heartfelt and often valued perspectives of the members, the unique media resources provided by our beneficent techno overlord, Dan, and of course the insights that you provide which really aren't available elsewhere. And the forthcoming gift which is The Fire Agent, feels like a new chapter (no pun intended).
Your recent unfiltered posts about your past exploits, victories, losses, and everything in between answers some questions, and honestly, no one need again ask about the much wished for followup to Boomtown.
Here's to the communal reading that we all have ahead of us.
Peter T.
