Here are some spots in DC that I've enjoyed -
1. The Library of Congress Reading Room
2. the National Portrait Gallery
3. as for the Smithsonian's - I liked the National Museum of American History. (this guitar is there and is also being used as Mick bait to lure him back...)
Also - visit the Holocaust Museum. The Viet Nam Veteran's memorial wall. See the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery.
And then there's the food. Seriously, study up before you go and visit some nice places. Pick a cuisine and it'll be there. Bring your walking shoes. Take lots of pictures.
