Yes the documentary was 2 years ago so things are clearly worse now and the BBC as a British institution does like to understate things. I don't disagree with any of your message about how precarious it is.
This Christian right thing has been with us here since way back and I remember we all bristled when it was Bush and his cadre of bell ends talking this shit to us. Green Mountain epitomised the whole shitfest for me.
I'm conflicted because I think it's better to have these morons out in the open where we can laugh at them and for me that is the best way to deal with narcissists which is basically what they all are. But the flip side is it gives them attention which is the oxygen they require to maintain this stupidity or worse still thrive off it.
you might see me as a liability because I tolerate some things but I see my ability to overwhelm these people in a one-to-one as my biggest weapon in beating extremism. I can only do this by meeting these bastards head on.
I can't take them on as organisations with lots of money. that's where your awareness of pushing back kicks in. 😉
