I see what you are saying. I also understand the frustration and anger that comes when one's child is bullied. So while I could sympathize with that Dad if, indeed, that's kind of what his thought process was, I still believe that no matter who does it, rushing the stage and pushing the black administrator (or any administrator) was inappropriate and obviously not the way to deal with that issue. I will say that reports I saw said that the dad didn't want his daughter shaking a black man's hand period.
Regardless though of WHY the dad rushed the stage, it was selfish to do it during a graduation ceremony because it ruined that momentous event for EVERYONE that was graduating.
Also, welcome to parents of LGBTQIA+ children and relatives. I’m sure, just like you feel with your daughter, I love my daughter and will always love her no matter what. (Now if I could just get her to call me or visit me every now and again, everything would be great!! HAHA)
