Okay, I watched the debate...sort of...between putzing on my computer and talking with my wife.  Of all the candidates, I liked Kerry the most with Lieberman running a close 2nd.  Dean looked as though he was going to blow a gasket on a couple occasions and I have a hard time believing he would hold up under the pressure of a campaign. 

I'm curious to see this budget proposal Wesley is going to trot out in 8 days.  I'm not holding my breath but I'm willing to listen.  But hey, the first thing out of his mouth was that he was pro choice so that ought to be something to rally behind...what a man of character.

I thought it was nearly laughable when Gephardt talked about doing whatever it was Clinton did to create the economy we enjoyed during the 90s...what was it Clinton did btw?  I sort of thought he pissed away 12 years of Republican leadership and left Bush 2 with a pile of shit to work with.  Just my opinion of course.

Did any of them answer the question about defining the rich in our country?  None of them even attempted.  They took the usual shots at Bush for the tax cut but I didn't hear any of them offer any concrete ideas for how they'd get the economy moving.  Who was it that said 'no country ever taxed itself into prosperity' or something similar?

And of course Ashcroft's name was mentioned a time or two and how he's taking away our liberites.  As near as I can tell my liberties are still all there and the courts seem to have agreed with all that he's done.  Yes, there are quite possibly some innocent people being held at Guantonimo but you know what?  There have been a hell of a lot more people who have given the ulitmate sacrifice for the preservation of this country so I'm not going to get too concerned because we may have held a person unecessarily for a couple years.   I know that sounds cold...sorry. 

I don't mean to sound glib here but is that the best you guys can do?
