Ever since I was young, maybe in 4th grade, I've always thought political conventions were curiosities that I wanted to be a part of. Not long after that, I decided I wanted to go to the Democratic Conventions versus the Republican ones. I'm not quite sure why but probably because my parents were democrats at that time. Of course, later on my father became a republican for reasons I never could figure out.

Anyway, I was so excited that I could have a chance to go to the DNC this year, but alas, you have to pay your own way and I didn't have the time to raise $5k to go. So, I'll try for next time maybe. BUT right now I can watch what's going on and so can you!

On YouTube you can watch the Caucus meetings and other goings-on during the day! I was just listening to the Black Caucus meeting and Dr. Michael Eric Dyson was closing out the meeting and said something along the lines of the following: Come Inauguration Day on ML King Day when Kamala Harris is sworn in by Katanji Brown Jackson, well that's a KKK I can stand by!

So, watch the DNC speeches at night and during the day watch the caucus meetings and you can feel like you're at the Convention. Well, anyway as close as you'll probably get to the Convention!
