Typically, I'm not a fan of most coming-of-age tales because too often they are made through a lens of childish humor and reactions and the like, but every now and then, one of them comes along that is surprisingly good (my own view is that the better ones are sort of seen through eyes in a more mature way - for example, take The Perks of Being a Wallflower and then contrast that to the more juvenile flicks like The Sandlot).
Snack Shake follows two 14-year-old best friends who scheme ways to make money for other things. Things get complicated when an attractive teen girl enters the picture and even though the typical things happen, they are deftly handled int his picture.
If I had to contrast this to others, I would suggest this is sort of flavored like Stand By Me rather than coming-of-age tales of a more juvenile nature. It is just a nice, touching tale.
It is currently streaming (I watched it through a free MGM+ preview).
