Icon Some comments.....and please, an assist from Kathryn....

In hindsight, Kamala Harris pulled off a subtle masterstroke that I hope she builds on and that was when she stressed Trump is not a serious person.  This was a masterstroke because it feeds into the narrative that a black woman has to work many times harder than a white male, and I think Harris intrinsically knew that after she kicked Trump's ass in the debate, the conspiracy theories would then fly (she was given questions beforehand, she was coached, she was wearing an earpiece, et cetera).

Next, on to the animal frenzy.  It sickens me how myopic and xenophobic Americans are when it comes to other cultures and their practices.  My point being - so fucking what if people are eating geese - or cats and dogs for that matter. Shit, in my area Canada geese are hunted like crazy (also, a bit of trivia and a lighter note  - there is no such thing as a Canadian goose/geese - it is just Canada goose/geese - my father, a deceased wildlife artist, used to love to point out if you heard a person refer to them in the incorrect way - especially hunters - that the person was ignorant about waterfowl).

So, here is where I ask Kathryn for an assist - I did a tiny bit of research on what countries eat cats, and of course, the usual suspects show up, but so does Australia! Cats are considered a delicacy in Australia.  Is this true Kathryn?

Still, why this story is so disgusting is that in America, we are so arrogant that we see ridicule in so many customs of other cultures and to the point it only makes us look like fools to the rest of the world.

For example, recall how the right used Obama's middle name as a pejorative?  Well, in the Middle East, "Hussein" is as common as our "John" or "Smith." '

Can any American imagine if traveling to India how they would react to being ridiculed or criticized for eating beef?

Now, let's move on to Tariffs.  How is NO debate moderator has EVER pointed out that we Americans bear the cost of tariffs?  WE pay them.  The fucking Chinese don't. How has this been missed?

It's just like, how no moderator demanded MAGA point to one case of actual abortion after birth (how that happens I have no clue because an abortion has to take place before birth, right?).  Or, provide evidence where a school student went to school one day and then surgically rendered transgender.

Lastly, we are finding out that it seems black basketball players have bigger balls than NFL superstars like the asshole from KC - buddy, just come out and say that endorsing a presidential candidate one way or another is going to cost you big endorsement bucks, so own up, be a man and just say that instead of some sort of chickenshit answer. And screw your little entitled bag of a wife (I find it quite amusing how she has to pull off idiotic stunts because her persona is completely unnoticeable due to the celebrity of her pansy husband, Kelce, and Swift - the one picture of the four of them is priceless - the three celebs are together and she is off to the side pouting).

Oh, I lied, one more thing, but a positive one: I really enjoy those tiny things that occur naturally that brighten one's day.  Yesterday, I was in a local grocery store, and a young mother and her young toddler riding in her cart almost collided at the end of an aisle.  We exchanged pleasantries and the toddler looked at me and smiled.  The mother then told the toddler to "wave and say 'hi'" and the toddler did.  THAT tiny act lifted my whole day because I find these days in America that addressing someone else's child without the consent of another parent is somewhat tricky and to see this mom tell her child to do those things, especially with a stranger in a public place, was such a warm and kind experience.  It also reminded me back to when I had my massive beard after I retired and when the youngest of children would question if I were possibly Santa Claus (ps...and no, my hair and beard were not white, but with a lot of gray, nor did I have a similar rotund body, either, or wear all red and have a deer with me).
